Week 6 Maths

1. In a survey 198 households had no internet and 453 did. How many households were in the survey? 1551

2. There were 524 students at St Martins school. 288 walked . How many drove?236 cause you can do 324-200=124 !!!! 124-88=36!!!!!

3. Sam was 1.4m in January 2011 and was 2.1m in December 2013. How much did he grow over the two years? 3.5 because you can add the 1.4 and 2.1

4. There were 5 paddocks and each had 42 sheep in them? How many sheep were there altogether?210 cause you can do 5x42=210

5. 54 cards shared  between 6 friends. They will get 9 each 

6. ⅘ of the class are going swimming and the rest  are on detention for forgetting their togs, (this is 7 students) How many are in the class. 3.1 2.1

Waka-ama

Waka-ama we had fun when we went to this tournament
and we versus 5 teams and we out of all of them we came 2nd and we just started a few weeks ago before this even happened.....

 and the one when we are in the boat we were practising waka before we even got in to the tournament.........                                                    
                                                                                                         

What in the world is going on?

The bright sunny light shine in my eyes. As soon i woke up i looked at the time the time was to get out of bed cause it was 8:25. So I went in the shower all i can hear is my brother playing outside with his friend.

I called out to him and said hurry up and have a shower. He reply no I don’t want to.

Walking to the table with my breakfast ready to eat with my stomach groundly. After I ate my breakfast I got my school bag in my room and went to the table with my lunch on it I got it and ran off.

Walking to school passing by my friends house i checked if they home. Knock  knock  knock if he not home I keep on walking to school. Arriving at school seeing all my friends do u want to play hand ball they ask.

During the day we do Writing, Reading, plus Maths, and Inquiry  have morning tea and lunch when i bell had gone we went out and played some hand ball. After school on Wednesdays we go to riverside and it finishes at 5:00. So that was my day at school and home…….

Frankie MAth work

Tessa has bought 40 mini chocolate bars to put in goodie bags at her party. She has 8 goodie bags. How many does she need to put in each? 5 goodie in each.

Math work at the movies

There were 225 people at the movies then 8 had to leave. How many were left?
Answer:217:  
First take off 5 from 225 to make it tidier
220-8= 112 
and then add the 5 back on
112+5= 117

Hardest work In my math

The shop is selling jandals for $9 a pair.  They have sold $486 worth of jandals so far. How many pairs have they sold? Answer: 9 x 50 = 450 + 9 x 4 =36 = 486 and the answer will be 54

1st Day At School
